Mae Rose Poirier

Mae Rose Poirier

Resident Physiotherapist/ Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist

Mae (she/her) recently attained her Master's of Physiotherapy in November 2022 from McMaster University. During her time at McMaster, her group research project won the Paul W. Stratford Research and Evidence-Based Practice Day award for best presentation. This research focused on entry-to-practice competency expectations for health justice in Canadian physiotherapy curricula. Mae values using an evidence-based and goal-oriented approach to her treatment sessions. These sessions may include education, therapeutic exercise, and hands-on manual therapy. She has extended experience working with many populations but has a passion for orthopedics and pelvic floor physiotherapy. She has taken the Level 1 Pelvic Floor course and plans to take further courses in pelvic health, orthopedic manual therapy, and acupuncture. When Mae isn't in the clinic, you can find her drinking bubble tea at Coco's or at the dog park with her goldendoodle Mavis!
